Marrying a Printz

On the first day back from Christmas break, junior Abbey Mules noticed there was something different about her homeroom teacher, Ms. Trefz.  After asking the usual questions like, “did you get a haircut?” or, “did you get a tan?” Mules finally guessed it.  She said, “Did you get engaged?”
Ms. Trefz replied with a big smile and a “yes”.
During Christmas break, Anne Trefz and her longtime boyfriend went to visit his family in Nashville, Tennessee.  On New Years’ Eve they were walking in the park when he dropped to one knee and proposed.
Earlier that day she noticed that he was being very quiet.
“He’s not really a loud person but he is very talkative,” Trefz said, “It was weird because he was being so quiet.”
She also thought it was odd when he locked his coat in the trunk before they went out to dinner.  Later it clicked that the ring was in his coat pocket.
Since it was New Year’s Eve, it was hard to reach people.  But, the first person she shared the exciting news with was her twin sister and then her parents.
Ms. Trefz will become Mrs. Printz on June 15, 2013, at St. Paul’s Church in old Ellicott City, Maryland.
