The Block C Data and Statistics class is currently working on a Sampling Distribution Model project. This activity requires categorizing nearly one thousand pennies by the year they were made, and forming a histogram.
“This creates a great visual for taking lots of samples” said Math teacher Mr. Kriebel.
“The purpose of this activity is to understand Sampling Distribution Models and the Central Limit Theorem” said Kriebel.
Collecting random samples, calculating means, and discovering standard deviations are all of the steps involved in this activity. The class is instructed to document this project to prepare an informative video for the AP Statistics class to view, so that they will be able to grasp the concept as well.
