‘Temple Run’ ROCKS!! Mount de Sales students are addicted to the second top free app on iTunes with over 20 million downloads so far.
The “Indian Jones-esque” game popularity spread quickly throughout the student body.
“My friends told me about the game and now, I’m addicted and it’s a problem,” said Ally Schuessler ’12.
The game’s quick pace sharpens player’s reflexes. In a matter of milliseconds, players need to swipe up, down, left, or right in order to duck, dodge, slide, and turn.
What does Temple Run really accomplish? Unfortunately, procrastination. One game quickly turns into two; two into four; four into sixteen. The next thing you know, you’ve wasted 2 hours running for your life from mutant monkey demons trying to gain as many coins as possible.
“My sister told me about the game and now I can’t stop playing it. I really play it just so I can have a better score than her,” said Allisun Sipes ’14.
Maybe the next Spirit Day competition will be who can get the highest score? Everybody get to running!
